The demand for broadband internet access is growing rapidly throughout all our service areas. The Storm HighSpeed | Wireless is a unique part of our success and is available for either Home or Business/Corporate use within the Storm service coverage area - currently spanning more than 35,000 square kilometers in just over 50 communities and municipalities throughout Eastern Ontario.

Our Storm Highspeed | Wireless broadband solution offers demanding customers symmetrical speeds up to 10 Mbps and beyond at a fraction of the cost of typical carrier supported 'wireline' options. Our wireless access service uses radio frequency (RF) to transmit and receive data. The entire network meets or surpasses, all Industry Canada safety standards in place today.

Storm uses a number of different wireless products throughout our network, but normally the CPE (customer premises equipment) is an 11 Mbps radio designed and manufactured by Int'l Datacasting Corporation . Our WebWalker™ modem provides up to 5.5 Mbps transfer speed direct to your location using line-of-sight to one of our wireless distribution nodes within our service territory. This technology can also be used to connect satellite offices, either through our existing wireless network or it can be deployed in a private point-to-point scenario, assuming "line-of-sight" between the locations.

If you qualify, Storm will send a team of technicians to your location at no charge, to determine installation details. All Storm Internet mounting gear is non-intrusive and can be installed on most commercial roofs easily. We work with your landlord to ensure the job is completed in a safe and professional manner.

* Dependant on survey results setup charges are for initial setup of the radio. Fees may vary due to equipment requirements. If you have any questions, please contact our customer support. Clients paying by Visa, M/C, Amex, or Automatic Withdrawal will be billed monthly and will be given notification via e-mail. Clients paying by cheque will be invoiced via e-mail.

** If you are hosting a website with a corporate/business package, you will need to also fill out the forms for the Storm WebHosting - please mention within the comment box, you have "hosting included in your package", but you will still need to specify your domain information. Also if you are registering a .com, .net or .org domain name, there is an additional fee of $15 per year. For .ca domains, the charge is $50 per year. Please contact us for more details.

*** If you would like to schedule a "site survey" to see if Storm HighSpeed Wireless is available for you in your area with positive line-of-site, please contact a Storm Account Rep today. Note: If the site survey is positive (ie. mentions you can successfully get) for getting Storm HighSpeed Wireless service at your location, but then you choose to not sign-up for Storm Wireless, you may be charged a location and administration fee of $50. If the site survey is negative (ie. you are not qualified to get the service) you will not be charged the location and admin fee.
